Beginnings

Three different layers: first, lemon yellow; then gamboge (a warmer yellow); yellow ochre and cerulean (to make a green).

I couldn’t wait to add my stem and shadow in a brown, so just used burnt umber from my paint box instead of mixing my own. I will leave it now and maybe add a darker layer in due course; it’s a bit of a pale pear!
