The look of love

I love this photo of Katie gazing into the eyes of the newborn... OK its a puppy, but her baby cousin is only a couple of weeks away and her next cousin a few months after, so it's a nice practice! However, this one is slightly problematic as this is the puppy from a batch of 9 belonging to friends that Katie has declared she wants to own. She's staying with them for two nights. Far too long to not get attached....!

We had a "walking breakfast" together today, grab and run so we could enjoy a frolic on the pastures before practice as she was heading out again for her second volunteering shift of the week. I'm very proud of how she has embraced serving in this way and is really enthusiastic in how she does it. She may be away from our church community a lot but throws herself in when she's back.

She came home early afternoon, grabbed her stuff and gave me a cuddle before scooting off to Bobbins' house for a couple of days of puppy snuggling and messing around with her surrogate siblings.
