Emergence

Hidden in the grasses with the only thing giving this black-tailed skimmer away being  the occasional movement as it tried to get up the stem to dry its wings off in the heat of the afternoon. They were gradually unfurling and until he was able to fly skulking low was the best bet. 

Lovely to walk by the lake throwing up clouds of damselflies and I spotted an emperor dragonfly plus a few four-spotted chasers too patrolling the edges.
