Everything Everywhere All at Once
Today has been a lovely day for me
My usual early sea swim
A promenade along the promenade
Coffee on a bench enjoying the sun
Home to hoover (nah)
Tennis at 10am…. Martina and I played Liz and Sue. They beat us 6-4 then in second set we beat them 6-4. This took 2 hours (the max we can book courts in our club)
The decider will be next week and the winners will buy the losers lunch ((great idea)
Then down to Dun Laoghaire where I had chips in Miami (see extra) before going to see a film recommended by a blipper.
I really cannot describe this film, only to say that at first couldn’t understand it. But as it unfurled, (and speaking as the mother of a daughter), it affected me hugely in the best possible way. I will need to see it a second time.
It is astoundingly beautiful
My main blip is one of those wonderful unorthodox bookshops (no franchise, no boring sameness .. I ventured in but couldn’t find the proprietor and said a meek hello. This great guy emerged from a sea of books to greet me. We spoke briefly and I browsed. Long May these type of shops remain. The eccentric, bookish, droll, cool guardians of the universe .
I’m gonna have a big plate of spaghetti now and tidy the kitchen. Tomorrow Nadal plays again. Me and Vince ill be watching
Tonight late there is a program about women film makers .. but it’s late and I will be in sweet repose by then. And even though I am a film maker, I still haven’t figgered out how to record a program on my smart tv
Tsk
