King Billy
King Billy at Mutton Cove on the banks of the River Tamar, taken this morning in the bright, Summer sunshine. King Billy is a standing figure of William IV and was originally the figurehead on the 120-gun warship HMS Royal William. William IV was King of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover between 1830 - 1837. He served in the Royal Navy during his youth and was later nicknamed the "Sailor King".
