Jousting at Hampton Court Palace

We went to Hampton Court Palace to see the Jousting event which is taking place every day over the Jubilee holiday. My daughter, son in law and children went too.
I had seen it before but about ten years ago. Apparently it was true to how it would have been in the time of Henry VIII. There were four teams each with two riders. The extra shows the location of the area and the wooden partition in the middle is there so that one horse goes each side on each run.
We went to the 11am show, it was repeated again at 1.30 pm and 4 pm.

It was a really nice event and so many people pouring into Hampton Court today. Many with children were heading towards the Magic Garden area. It is good news for the Royal Palaces that they have more income coming in as when I have visited previously this year there have been v v few people.

It was good to watch the service from St Pauls. Let’s hope the weather is OK for the events tomorrow and Sunday. I have a friend who has organised a street party for Sunday when rain, storms and lightening are forecast…she is getting worried about how to proceed.
