Jubilee

After arriving yesterday we took the cover off our new outdoor table and chairs, put some bunting up and enjoyed a glass or two of wine. Whatever our views on the monarchy (J is a big fan) it’s good to have an excuse for a celebration.

From mid evening, the rain began and continued heavily through the night and into late morning today. The bunting has not survived the deluge, these two triangles somehow stayed on (many hit the deck) but have acquired an interesting patina.

Extra - our principal view looking out from inside. I don’t complain about the rain - it’s why it is so verdant here, like being in an open wood, and birdsong from all sides.
