Floriade 2022

Since 1960 there is a large agricultural event once every ten years in the Netherlands. My friend and I visited the ones in 1992, 2002 and 2012. Today we visited for the fourth time. And we chose the perfect day for it, nice and sunny.

It took us all day to go through the area. 60 hectares (148 acres). Three years it has taken the organisation to develop the area. With lots of flowers everywhere, large greenhouses with nifty possibilities for growing plants and other new ideas, art, and houses from different countries. A lot about sustainability in making goods and designing houses. Very interesting. But a bit too much to take all in in one day.

We had a great time though.
