Cragside

Described by the National Trust as "Britain's original smart home", Cragside, the home of the Victorian engineer Lord Armstrong,  was illuminated by hydro-electricity and powered by hydraulics.

We met up with family and spent the whole day exploring the house and extensive grounds, as well as the shop and cafe.
