Across the road

C's front garden, opposite our house, is higher than the road, so his giant poppies stand above me, at the top of the bank, wonderfully backlit against the geometric background of his conservatory. 

I separated a tray of calabrese plants into individual little pots to grow on and feed up before they go into the vegetable garden. This method worked well with last year's cauliflowers, giving us our best ever crop, and I'm hoping we can build on that success this summer.
