Sunday Sunrise

We were both up at sunrise to go to the headland at Kioni (Ithaca) as Mrs BB and our friend Jane, from the next villa, wanted to show us a fantastic spot for sunrise and snorkelling. On getting to kioni, it was about a mile down a dirt-track road that I prayed our little VW Up! would get back up as it was so rough!

The spot was every bit as good as Jane made out. Whilst they went snorkelling I was left to wander and enjoy the beauty of nature: The photo's of the sunrise over the ancient Greek St Ilas church (still used today) give an idea of the beautiful spot and the glorious sunrise.

Afterwards we enjoyed refreshments at a harbourside bar in Kioni before driving back to our villa for a day spent around the pool.

Wales play Ukraine tonight in the World Cup last spot play-off final. I think I know where most of the world's support will be but as a Welshman you will know mine!
