Handkerchief Tree

A little local exploration today. We went to Galloway House Gardens where there are some lovely old trees included a country of Handkerchief Trees, luckily still in flower.
We walked down to the shore for Pepper to have a paddle, then on to Kilsture Forest.
This is a large area of mixed woodlands, ringing with birdsong.
When we got back, Jane made us a delicious supper with salmon from the Galloway Smokehouse, really wonderful!
