Mary Berry can rest easy

First outing for my brownie baking tray today. Why do I feel the need to be equipped with such things when a simple baking tray would do!?

Brownies look good but disappointingly dry, even though baked for less time than recommended. Any ideas where it went wrong? Having to eat them with ice cream to add moisture. There is no other option available to me.

Apple and fig flapjacks rescued the day - lovely and chewy.
