Holiday day 7
Mr PC and the doggies return from their walk this morning excited about the sight and the ‘ Tic Tic’ sound of the stonechats, so after breakfast armed with my camera off I went to investigate. Mrs SC was very obliging but Mr SC was a bit camera shy.
For our outing today we leave the car behind and walk to the waterfall at St Nectans Glen one of natures most stunning creations.
On our way there I’m taken in by the beauty that nature has to offer, butterflies, flowers, bugs, tall trees, also a view of Tintagel Castle in the distance -inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur.
We walk through a lush rainforest with moss covered trees, we hug the banks of the river Trevillet as it makes it’s journey to the sea at Rocky Valley.
After a strenuous climb up we finally arrive at the waterfall, the sound of the 60ft falls crashing down to a small pool below is awe- inspiring.
We walk back to the site tired but happy, but not before I bagged a few more stonechat shots.
Sadly the weather has deteriorated tonight misty and wet.
