They're off

For the first time in many years I have not seen anything of The London Marathon.

Instead I have been commentating at a local "sprint" triathlon. A 400m swim followed by 16 km on the bike and finishing with a 5 km run is not a sprint in my eyes!

It was cold too. I hear reports of it being hot in London. Not so I. These parts. It started cold and sunny then turned to cold wind and rain.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the event despite the conditions.
Marathon training starts tomorrow, as I have one to run in October.
