Today's trip into Edinburgh was to have lunch with a German collaborator I've not seen for more than two years. We had a good and valuable chat, over quality bowls of healthy food. Afterwards, I didn't have time to go home for my online meeting, so secluded myself on our floor of the Bayes Centre. Views from the stairs as I climbed up - there is an alternative staircase for those with vertigo - suggested that occupancy is well below capacity. The people who would work there doubtless find it preferable to work from home.
