Starting Home

After a really good trip to the UK we are now heading for home again. For us this is a two day journey, overnighting in a hotel outside Arlanda (Stockholm) airport, before the long drive north.
We should have been getting the train from Blackburn but that was cancelled, so Dave drove us to our connection in Bolton.  Apart from that glitch we have been happily surprised by the trains in Britain. They worked for us, were reasonably priced (booked a fair way in advance) and were clean and modern.
We flew to Stockholm, landing just before midnight. It was lovely to see the not-quite-dark midnight sky at this northern latitude.
