Someone else's garden party

Today has been busy. We were woken early to the sound of Boy shouting "I WANT MY MONKEY?." Wife investigated and looked for one of the cuddly monkeys but that was not the one he was after. It turns out he was dreaming that he had a monkey as a friend / pet and that he lost it.

Boy is having a few dreams like this at the moment. A few nights ago Wife and I were woken in the middle of the night by screams of "I'VE LOST MY FINGER!" When Wife went in Boy claimed that he had taken off his right little finger and had put it under his bed. In the morning over breakfast we asked him about it and he remembered and was pleased to see it was back on his hand.

Once we were all up and properly awake today we headed out to party number one at good old Pirate Petes. The usual fun and fast food was the order of the day before we then popped over to Canoe Lake to see the open day of the Southsea Greenhouse Garden. It was nice to see so many people out in the sunshine. It was a nice reminder of how alive this town gets in the summer. It was also nice to find a home for the compost bin we want rid of.

Then it was quickly on to party number two at a friends lovely home with all the classic games and more cake. Girl was pleased to win the pin the pinchers on Diesel 10, particularly after coming a close second in musical bumps. And they all had a good dance and play.

Oh, and well done Brother on getting through your tenth marathon today, you nutter.
