Down
After the excitement of yesterday we haev all been a bit tired today. As usual the little ones were up early. After the usual swimming obligations we ended up in a little cafe for a quick lunch. The food was good and we shared our dining experience with half of a local boys football team.
Our little ones enjoyed watching the footballers getting up to mischief. It was particularly amusing when one of them poured ribena all down himself, his chair and the floor. After they finished their cooked breakfasts and left we saw them walking down the road all clutching cream cakes. Boy told me that one day he wants to play in a football team. I think he liked the look of the cakes.
The rest of the day was quite lazy. Boy and I popped to the shops and on the way back we heard the football crowds at Fratton Park louder than ever. Not surprising really given that it was the last home game of the season and the future of the club is massively in doubt.
So after dropping Boy back home I decided to wander up to the stadium to get a picture of the fans coming out. When I got there the game had just finished and the gates were all up to let the fans out but most of them were staying put, singing in good spirits, waiting for their team to come back out on the pitch for a lap. Not bad really considering that the team had just been relegated to League 1. So I ended up walking up some steps by the corner of the pitch and took some photos as the crowd sang.
