Pretty pebbles!

Strolling along the beach to the path and just caught sight of these pretty pebbles.

I took this quickly so I could try to ID them.... Maybe plover eggs?

I can't see them lasting there, right on the popular stretch between the road and the beach, and there's so many seagulls looking for an easy meal.
