On Pins

It hasn't seemed like a very nice day but we had to go out and do a big shop this morning. After that I wasn't feeling very inspired but Marian's been doing some needlework and I'd noticed that her pin dish made an appealing subject. I set up a tripod looking down from above and focused on a large pinhead. I went from a small depth of field and gradually expanded it so I could choose later which worked best. If you're interested you'll be able to see the details in the exif.

I've added an extra of the side view of the dish. You can see there are a couple of cling-ons underneath.
