What have we started.....?!!

Looks like a horror photo from one of those cowboy builder programs - it is in fact the landing that we started at Easter.
A number of plasterers have been for quotes but none seem to want to come back to me with a price.

Lots of housey jobs done today- washing, washing up, washing, washing up...too mundane to bother mentioning.
