Beautiful but deadly

I heard today the New Zealand government has a cunning plan to cut smoking - they will make it illegal to sell tobacco to people currently age 14, and keep raising the age of the ban annually  so this cohort never reaches an age where it’s legal for them. Smoking is the number 1 cause of death in New Zealand. Even in the U.K. I hear they are thinking of raising the age limit to 21. 
It’s a horrible addiction, which I found hard to quit. And so deadly. It’s sad and ironic that mostly it’s people who are not well-off who still smoke. When I worked in mental health services, almost all our service users were smokers:(
Having said all that, I do like tobacco plants and grow some every year
