Iceland Day 8

It was all so efficient - the hotel gave us coffee and our breakfast bag to takeaway while we waited for the pick-up bus. It arrived on time at 4am. We were on the queue above at 5.30am. If we survive this unmasked crowd free of Covid or anything else we’ll be surprised.

The flight was delayed while we waited for a late connecting flight to arrive so we didn’t achieve our bumpy Glasgow landing till 11.15 UK time. Now we are no longer in EU we had a long queue at immigration - there’s no separate line for UK nationals. As the Govt is struggling to find benefits of Brexit and asking for suggestions I might contact Gove, minister for good ideas and offer this.

We should be home by 3.30. After a dry week we’ll definitely we having a gin and crisps before an early night.
