Poppies

Next to the sound studio where I was working today, there’s an old and partly derelict house. As you can see, it could be a pretty Fachwerkhaus (timber framed house), but the wood is rotting, and the walls are crumbling. 

When I saw the poppies growing out of the wall, I just had to blip them. But I feel a little sorry for the old building, and I wonder why it doesn’t get saved - even though it’s in a busy and popular suburb of Mainz.
