Coroico - Villa Bonita

We wondered out of town to Villa Bonita, a little garden restaurant famed for its homemade ice cream and views (photo!). The ice cream was great!! A very good recommendation from my Spanish teacher! We expected the cheap prices to mean small sizes, so all ordered a small jug of juice. We ended up with a huge jug each!After fruit salad, chiremoya and passion fruit ice cream, and endless papaya juice I left Coroico very happy!

We decided to go back to La Paz earlier rather than later after hearing rumours that the new road was going to be shut all afternoon! We didn't want to be taken on death road or go up either road in the dark! We made it back to La Paz and managed to hijack a micro (a La PAz bus) to take us back to our flats! The locals on the bus didn't seem to mind the diversion too much!

Its our first day of work tomorrow, so I will be seeing what the strengthening families team is going to be doing for the next 9 weeks!
