Tourists for the day.

We have some dear friends staying with us at the moment. As with many of our old friends one of them has some mobility challenges at the moment so long walks and hill climbs are no longer possible. Although we have managed some bird hides and short Orchid hunts we still hoped for a full day out.
So we reverted to being ordinary mortals and became tourists for the day. What could be more fun than a couple of our cruising on historic boats on Windrmere, England’s largest lake. My main blip shows our boat, The Swan, built at Barrow in Furness in 1938 then brought in parts to be reassembled on the lake.
On the way home we called at the wonderful gardens of the Lakeland Horticultural Society and my extras show a small selection of the treasures we saw there.
