Today's the day ...................... for job satisfaction 

This is Claire - archaeologist-in-charge and all-round lovely person at the Chapelyard Dig, near Dalry - which finished today.

It has been great fun to be a part of it and to meet up with some old friends and fellow diggers.  It's so nice to have had a trowel in hand and to get the opportunity to peel back a few layers of time in this most beautiful part of Dumfries & Galloway. 

There's been a bit of weather over the three days as you can see in the sky behind Claire - but it has done nothing to dampen the spirits.  Despite the inevitable aches and pains from tired muscles that haven't had to work this hard for a while, there's huge satisfaction in seeing a job well done, through to the end.

Thanks Claire - it was brilliant ..................!
