Cromarty has a Big Vennel. It has a Little Vennel. Although it's too small to qualify for a sign, we also have lots of teensyweensy ones like this.

Note: A vennel is a passageway between the gables of two buildings which can in effect be a minor street in Scotland and the north east of England. Origin Late Middle English from Old French venele, from medieval Latin venella, diminutive of Latin vena ‘vein’. Aren't you glad you asked?
