The Old Ferry Landing

We were so tired last night we had a huge sleep and got over to the the marina at a very reasonable time after 10:00 to move our car and collect all our stuff…2 weeks of groceries, wine, bird seed, laundry, the computer and new binoculars, always a lot more stuff than we think we should have. Took the Silver Streak (bigger)    Fortunately lt’s a nice day today.  Here’s a look at where the big barge was unloading gravel yesterday in Montague Harbor.   Are they going to sweep up the rest??  This used to be the ferry landing for Galiano Island when we first came here.  (1990)   Then they changed it to Sturdies Bay (use less fuel to stop there ) but when the weather was too bad, we remember it would still come in here for more protection for awhile before it was dismantled.   Now it’s a government dock.(to the left)    Tried to put in on the map but failed .
