A day spent NOT cleaning - apart from a few loads of washing, which has / is drying nicely outside.

I went for a walk after lunch and came across some Goat’s Beard - and I loved this closed one with its spiral shape and the feathery seed trying to erupt. The plant is also called ‘John-go-to-bed-at-noon’ - a bit of a mouthful, but it sums up the behaviour of the flower that opens in the early morning and closes by midday!! They look a bit like small dandelions - but on long stalks, and go on to produce giant fluffy seed heads like dandelion ‘clocks’ that have great geometric patterns (see extra)
