East Head

...looking towards Scolt Head

More verbiage this morning (nearly toothless now) and then went for a wander across the marsh to the Nod for samphire. The siren call of the island was strong but it’s a tough route across Norton to the hut or House Hills and I didn’t fancy getting into difficulties so satisfied myself with some lovely looking samphire and headed back, picking up a fish cake and some local raspberries from the fish shed on my way.

After some jobs in the garden and a bit of lunch I read for a bit until the tide was well on its way in and went back and did the same walk as yesterday down to the beach for a high tide swim and a beer. Heard the cuckoo again and managed to get a better photo of the bee orchid pollinia (extra ... anyone remember Clackers!?)
