Rainbow Light
A day filled with alternating thunderstorms and periods of warm sunshine. I spent some time in the garden, ducking inside as each heavy cloud unloaded a torrent onto the garden, and heading out again as the ground steamed in the following warm sun. I got a few rows of peas planted and weeded some raised beds.
We headed into town in the evening to listen to Vivaldi's Gloria, performed in the cathedral. Apart from the two soloists all the participants were local and we were really impressed by the standard and the enthusiasm. The rainbow mat was laid out in honour of the Pride weekend (extra)
We drove home through yet another thunderstorm and then sat in the car for ten minutes until the rain moved on. We would have got VERY wet had we tried a 50 metre dash to the front door!
Once inside the sun shone forth again and this rainbow fragment appeared. Very appropriate for Pride weekend! The trees were very green and sharp against the dark sky of the retreating thunder cloud.
