Balloch and halfway back
Me and P both had a day off work today, and after I got antsy at the weekend we planned to cycle to Balloch and the Loch Lomond shores today. This was going to be by far my longest cycle to date and I wasn't sure how far I'd get (especially after weighting my bike and realising it was a full 17kg unloaded!!). Did the 40 miles to Balloch fairly easily, then had stations at Dalmuir, town centre and Newton on the way back if I got tired. I made it back to Exhibition centre where I gave in and got the train home. Strava says 63.36 miles in total.
Cracking day, picture is of lunch at Loch Lomond. On the way back we even saw a gooseander mum and her brood which are always a delight.
