Jupiter Artland
After a lazy day yesterday I was really antsy to get out of the house, but the weather wasn't great and we didn't want to spend hug amount of money. Jupiter Artland was the solution and it was a really great day on the edge of the nice weather!
We spent the day admiring the Andy Goldsworthies, rolling our eyes at the Tracey Emin and wondering at the freakiness of small girls with long hair that covers their faces. Pictures above is one of the main scupltures in the park which is pretty impressive to drive through on route to the car park and is very explorable (you're allowed to walk on the paths, but not climb up or roll down the structures). However my favourite sculpture was the underground room of amethysts surrounded by obisidion at the top. If I still had the ability to post extras there would be an extra of the sign which says 'stealing amethyst brings bad luck'.
As a bonus we spotted some little grebe's in the duck pond, which were a new sighting for us. Plus got a fly by of a yellowhammer on the way out. The east definitley hadthe better weather as we got poured on the way back west.
Good soup at the little takewaway airstream thing too - aubergine and pepper.
