Berney Arms Windmill

A lovely warm day when sunny, but chilly when clouds passing over.  Breezy at times.

Up early again, and started steaming after breakfast.  A few hours steam, and we arrived in Great Yarmouth, but just passed through.  We stopped off for lunch at Reedham, and a walk about the village.  Onwards again, with today's final resting at Coldham Hall, near Brundall.  A lovely walk around Surlingham village this evening.

I'm amazed at the amount of windmills/pumps that's dotted around the landscape here, if I didn't know better, I'd think I was in Holland.  This is by far my favourite windmill I've seen, and seems to be a museum of sorts.  Sadly the doors were closed today for maintenance.  Seems the mill was in use until 1948.  It had been used for mixing cement, later pumping water out of the marshes.  Berney Arms Windmill, Norfolk.
