Lyme Park NT
A morning at this National Trust property. A huge house which was owned by the same family for over 700 years.
Hundreds of acres of parkland with deer. Good gardens but some 3 weeks behind our Buckinghamshire gardens. The explanation seems to be the height above sea level of this site.
Our afternoon visit was the reservoirs around the Derwent Valley. Of particular interest was the reservoir which was used as a practice site for the Dambuster raids.
