Healthy salad

This morning Ailie, Chris and I met here for coffee and make last minute plans for what we hope will be our last attack on the Dales Way. It’s an 84 mile walk from Ilkley to Bowness on Windermere. We have got 24 miles left to do.

Yesterday afternoon Mr C and I struggled for a couple of hours on our devices to find via google satellite maps somewhere we could park near the end of our first day. (I seem to have been granted logistics duty). Because we need a car at the start and end of each day we have to plan the day’s walk to fit round that.

Tomorrow we have 2.5 hours drive to the meeting place where one car will be left, then 15 back to the start. The walk will only be 9 miles plus another one to reach the car, at the nearest place to the walk. Then we drive to our cabin for the night. I have cooked our meal for tomorrow night and we’ll go out the next.

The forecast is hot but hopefully there will be a slight breeze to cool us down. Wish us luck - I wouldn’t like to say how long ago it is since we started - Covid plus 4 perhaps. It’s hard to find a time when 4 busy people are free at the same time.

Oh the blip is a salad I made for tonight - green bean, broccoli, mango and peanut with herbs and a lime, miso, chilli and sesame oil dressing.
