Gannet
TUESDAY
A trip over to the East Coast.
First stop was RSPB Bempton Cliffs in time for lunch at the cafe. The reserve was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday. We saw lots of gannets, guillemots, razorbills and a handful of puffins.
Next stop was for ice cream at Flamborough Head. It was a regular destination for family trips back in the 1960s. I have vivid memories of the headland shrouded in fog and the foghorn blaring. Fortunately it was blue sky and sunshine today.
We ended the day with fish and chips and a walk around the harbour at Bridlington.
Back home now.
