100 Trees
Nansleden, a new village on the outskirts of Newquay, and home to the Royal British Legion 100 Trees of Remembrance was the scene for todays ‘Falklands 40’ commemoration service.
Another blisteringly hot day, especially to be in a dark jacket shirt and tie.
The service went well although due to a lack of a PA system few of us could hear anything. I accompanied my friend Richard and was pleased for him to lay the wreath, spread the love, it doesn’t need the same person to be the focus at these and other events.
Tea and coffee afterwards although the message never got through to the venue so Richard and I settled for a single beer each and a few chips.
Pasty on the way home, a catch up with Mrs S before heading off for a row with Epic in the evening. Perfect weather for it and a great way to spend some time with friends.
