Diary of an Edinburgher

Summer?

We had lovely blue skies this morning, and it was warm! (Mind you, the clouds came in later). Archie and I decided to go down to Stockbridge and have a wander in the park - new smells for him, and plenty of choice for a coffee and pastry for me.

I bravely foolishly set off without a cardie, but even though it clouded over a bit, I didn’t get cold, so I suppose we can call this ‘summer’ - though I see (most of) the rest of the country sweltered…

We sat in the sun outside a cafe and I had a cinnamon bun and coffee, before we caught the bus back home. Funny how Archie always gets sick in a car, but doesn’t mind buses… The bus to Stockbridge, over miles of cobbles, is an absolute bone shaker.

JR had a coffee with her pals after the gym session, but was home when I got back. We then all set off to pick up a couple of items - great to order something from John Lewis one day, and it’s ready for pick up at Waitrose next day, without going in to town.

The other two walked back home, via Bruntsfield shops, but I got the bus, carrying said items. I then watched more of Breaking Bad, followed by some tennis at Queen’s.
