Speed ducks

Another day at the exam marking interface, so my visit to Aldi was the highlight of the day. Thought my blip was going to have to be three very bored looking mallard drakes poking about in the edge of the water, but as I looked down from the bridge these two eider females came powering through - going at great speed with their beaks under the water, apparently shovelling for.....something. You can get an idea of the speed from their massive wake! The mallard chaps looked on, enviously I thought.
