Catsear resurgent

Was up even earlier than usual, due to D having to get an exceptionally early lift to Granton (boat having to go via Inchkeith again, something to do with Ron the bird man). Still, finished the exam marking process mid morning - phew.

On the way to the allotment I was pleased to see that the spotted catsear, Hypochaeris maculata, is blooming again, despite the best efforts of the council (see extra) and meles periodically pulling it up to transplant it. What a wonderfully tough plant - surprising it isn't more common. I hope it gets to set seed before the council workies come along with their hoes....
