Chirpy chaffinch...

... on the wire.

Warm enough to sit out in the 'yard for coffee this morning. A rare treat so far this year!

Walked up to the Common this evening. No red squirrels, but there were lots of birds and fledgelings flying around. On the way there, a dozen or so long-tailed tits were landing on this wire briefly before flying off again to nearby trees. Tried, but they were far too fast-moving for a decent photo! On the way back this chirpy chaffinch obligingly sat on the wire for a while, singing his heart out.
