Bracken fern

Several bracken ferns are dominating the front garden, and we're trying to decide which ones to remove. A difficult decision!

A busy day in one way and another. A call first thing from the pharmacist at our new GPs' surgery to sort out my repeat prescription. She was really helpful and informative.

Then a call to the solicitor dealing with the sale of the flat. She's been replying to some strange demands from the buyers' solicitor - they now want us to take out an indemnity policy against something that happened in the past. Our solicitor can see no point in it, nor can we, but we'll just have to humour them! We talked about possible completion dates, but I'm wondering what other delaying tactics their solicitors will 'pull out of their sleeve'!

Tackled some household chores whilst waiting for the Octopus engineer to arrive to install our smart meter. He arrived on time, but it took him longer than anticipated, so he was here for most of the afternoon. MrM arrived back from his unexpectedly long bakery shift at almost at the same time as the engineer. Much too late for breakfast, so I made us a vege brunch!

In the evening MrM went to play music with some friends, while I watered the plants in pots and did some weeding. Stayed out much longer than intended - it's always tempting to do just that little bit more...
