New Rose

I wasn’t required for Keep Fat chauffeuring duties this morning so sat in the shade of the apple tree in the garden after breakfast, reading until Tess got back.

After that we had a swim in a very busy outdoor pool. Long queues down the road to get in when it opened at noon, thanks to the hot weather.

A short bike ride to get the ingredients for tonight’s dinner and more time sitting in the garden this afternoon, admiring this rose, one of our new acquisitions this year, which has just blossomed.
