Summer Politics
Today was the final meeting of our planning committee. We had a tricky problem to solve with planning permission for a house on the nearby island of Hemsö so we decided to go take a look, and while we were out we looked at a few other places along the way where we had decided something earlier, or were shortly to decide.
In the main picture we are on the island, and have followed a very narrow road to a small harbour. If you live just across the water, on the island of Lungön, you park your car here, and take your boat the rest of the way.
We ate lunch at the restaurant (extra) near the cold war fortress that is now a tourist attraction. There are spectacular views and an excellent lunch here. After lunch we moved on to our "tricky problem". We have two important policies and one says we should allow this building and the other says we shouldn't!
This was solved when we actually saw the plot of land involved. Interesting how being there showed us things we couldn't see from the map! The customers got their permission to build so hopefully they are happy.
