Canal boats
Slimbridge is a wildfowl reserve on the river Severn, so the Marpessa is a long way from home. Fetched a newspaper then had coffee from the Watershed boat by the liftbridge. Long conversation with a man from the Magnet Fishers society. The canal isn't more than 1.5m deep, but has at least another 1m of silt on the bottom, so falling in would be unpleasant, though it does happen. They find a lot of junk, along with the occasional grenade and gun.
Out again later to the farmers' market.
