Walking round the pond in Queens Park this morning I spotted a coot family …. mum, dad and four youngsters with almost the entire pond to themselves.

There was a Little Grebe ducking and diving as it made its way from one side of the pond to the other.

The only constant birds are the pigeons but for me there are far too many of them keeping a watchful eye for someone with food.
