Jackal

An early morning drive - and we saw these two jackals. Firstly on the plains and then together enjoying a drink from the lake.  So much water around in this area due to unseasonal rains that animals no longer  have to come to the dams or lakes.
In extras is the one sighting we had of a lioness - she was a long way off behind some marula bushes, lying on a river bed.  We did catch sight of a leopard and a cheetah, both when they were crossing the road ahead of us, but too far and too quick for a snap!  We also saw a very rare sight - honey badger - but it too was in thick grass so no 'good' shot was available.  Great to see though.
